Under the Building Sustainable Livelihoods for Vibrant Communities (B-SLiC)  over 400 beneficiaries in Epe, Lagos State received their certificates and start-up kits after sufficient training in various vocational skills such as Catering, Electrical Works, Phone Repair, Hairdressing, Barbing, Tailoring, Auto-mechanical Repair, Carpentry, and Plumbing.
The ceremony commenced with a Holy Mass officiated by the Executive Secretary of Caritas Nigeria, Uchechukwu Obodoechina. The ceremony was graced by various stakeholders, including representatives from the Governor of Lagos, the Archbishop of Lagos, traditional rulers, the Local Government Chairman, and representatives from the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. The various stakeholders conveyed their goodwill messages, highlighting the program's significance and its positive impact on the community.
Caritas Nigeria ensures to demonstrate a model for community-focused initiatives, which brings about the positive impact of skill development and collaboration, inspiring future programs aimed at enhancing livelihoods and fostering community development. The overwhelming joy and gratitude expressed by the graduates showcase the real success of the event.
