As part of Caritas Nigeria’s health systems strengthening initiatives, at the start of the second quarter of the year 2022, our regional office in Enugu State led by team lead, Fabian Bassey, donated thirty printers and cartridges to twenty-eight service delivery facilities supported by the 4GATES program in the state.

The gesture was in response to the recurrent infrastructural challenges that posed a barrier to effective HIV services in health facilities. The benefitting hospitals and institutions include:

  • Achi Joint Hospital
  • Annunciation Specialist Hospital, Emene
  • Awgu General Hospital
  • Bishop Shanahan Specialist Hospital,
  • Chima Hospital and Maternity,
  • Daughters of Divine Love, Ehalumona,
  • Eastern Nigeria Medical Centre – Dr Nlogha Okeke Memorial Medical Foundation
  • Enugu-Ezike General Hospital
  • Enugu State University Teaching Hospital
  • Faith Foundation Mission Hospital, Nsukka
  • General Hospital, Agbani
  • Iji Nike Cottage Hospital
  • Ikem General Hospital
  • Mother of Christ Specialist Hospital

In addition to eliminating lingering printing glitches, the intervention, without a doubt, would ensure improved documentation, convenience and timeliness of deliverables at the facilities.
