The Senior Management Team of Caritas Nigeria led by the agency's Executive Secretary/CEO, Revd Fr Uchechukwu Obodoechina, carried out a one-week working visit to project sites in North-East Nigeria.
Activities carried out during the exercise which took place from May 31 through June 6, 2021, included the distribution of livestock commodities to beneficiaries in Yola under the UNHCR Livelihoods project; distribution of dignity kits to students of Government Secondary School Vimtim (under the Norwegian MFA project) as well as a visit to Vocational Technical Training Centre, Mubi of which Caritas Nigeria constructed one of the skills acquisition blocks.
Other members of the team included the Deputy Executive Secretary, Rev Fr Peter Babangida Audu; the Director of Humanitarian affairs, Ms Nkese Maria Udongwo; the Director of Pastoral Affairs at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Rev Fr Isaac Dugu; and program leads for the various ongoing projects in the region.
