To strengthen our Protection interventions in Cross River state, our project team in Ogoja embarked on a significant advocacy visit to the chiefs and clans heads of Bashua, Biajua, Ajassor, and Agbokim Waterfall communities where we work to ensure the socioeconomic, psychological, and mental well-being of displaced persons.
This visit was designed to engage with local leadership, recognizing their pivotal role in driving community development efforts. We, therefore, sought to foster a sense of ownership and partnership, ensuring that initiatives are implemented in a manner that resonates with the needs and aspirations of the communities.

The dialogue with the stakeholders provided an opportunity to identify pressing concerns. By sensitizing Chiefs and clan heads to the issues that affect vulnerable populations, such as refugees and other displaced persons, Caritas Nigeria aimed to support collaborative initiatives that address the root causes of displacement and drive sustainable change.

We are committed to working with communities to underscore the importance of inclusive development and illustrate the profound impact of grassroots engagement in fostering positive change.
