Today, 11th of October 2023 a delegation of our Abia State team led by Dr. Charles Okolie, who represented our Orphans and Vulnerable Children's (OVC) program team in the state, paid a courtesy visit to the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Blessing Felix, to discuss collaborative strategies for effective delivery of our OVC and gender services in the region.
The delegation acknowledged the Honourable Commissioner's significant role in addressing critical issues related to OVC, women's well-being, and poverty alleviation within the state. Admitting the need for improved cooperation between the Abia State Government and Caritas Nigeria, she expressed her appreciation for the visit and a willingness to ramp up government support for our programs through committed engagement.
